Rachel Pierman is a former television presenter, voiceover artist, and corporate host. In 2019 she became the founder and current CEO of CraftyMonkies (a global platform where people learn to craft together online via Zoom and in-person at live events around the world) and is now the host, creator and sole producer of the freshly launched podcast Breaking the Blocks
Originally from Yorkshire, in 1996 Rachel set off in search of an Oscar via the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She was convinced an actor's life was for her. She hasn't (as yet; never say never!) received the Oscar she dreamt of as a kid, but she has had a successful career as a TV Presenter, Voiceover Artist, and Corporate Host over the past 25 years, a career that can be seen by looking at the showreels and huge amount of varied experience she has attained over the years.
When Rachel's last television job came to an end, she felt it was time to explore a new avenue...

Creativity has always followed her around; her husband is a graphic designer, her father was a keen photographer and model maker, Mum was a machinist and Gran taught her to bake, oh and she hosted 1000's of hours of live TV on a craft channel for 5 years! It was only natural she decided to stay in the creative arena, hence why CraftyMonkies was launched in September 2019 with little more than a basic website and kitchen table. The platform offers a place where people from around the world can come together online and in-person to pursue their creative passions.
As CraftyMonkies continued to evolve, Rachel heard many amazing stories from her guest teachers and students in the classes she hosted, she felt they needed to be heard. Hence, the podcast, Breaking The Blocks was launched in January 2024 with the aim of not only sharing the aforementioned stories, but also to help people overcome challenges they may be facing.
Rachel's faced her own 'blocks' throughout her life (being a child of divorced parents and working in television will do that for you!) The last three years whilst building her business during & after the Covid pandemic and losing her father to cancer in 2022 were particularly challenging and yet she broke though her own blocks.

The company continues to thrive, the podcast has been well received and Rachel continues to record voiceovers from her own studio for regular clients.
Who knows what the next adventure will be? She certainly has the skill set & personality to welcome and embrace any new opportunity that comes her way!...
